CONSTITUTION & OBJECTIVE 

COMMUNITY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (CFA)


ARTICLE 1: NAME

The name of the Association shall be Community Football Association (CFA).


ARTICLE 2: OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMUNITY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ( C.F.A)

Grassroots Development:

To discover, nurture, and develop young football talents within the community.

Promotion of Peace and Unity:

To promote peace, unity, and harmonious relationships among various communities through the game of football.

Organization of Tournaments:

To organize football tournaments , Friendlies and competitions among landlords from different communities to encourage healthy interaction and participation.

Football for Health and Fitness:

To use football as a tool for physical exercise and overall wellness among landlords across the communities.

Unity and Social Integration:

To promote unity, teamwork, and peaceful coexistence among different communities through football.

Capacity Building for Coaches and Officials:

To support the development of coaches, referees, and football administrators through workshops and seminars.

Infrastructure Development:

To advocate for and support the development and maintenance of football facilities within the community.

Talent Exposure:

To create opportunities for players to be scouted by professional clubs and academies.

Partnership and Sponsorship:

To collaborate with government bodies, private organizations, and sponsors to enhance football development.

Promotion of Discipline and Sportsmanship:

To instill discipline, respect, and fair play among players and officials.

ARTICLE 3: MEMBERSHIP

3.1 Eligibility

Membership shall be open to:

Recognized community football teams

Registered football coaches

Players within the community

Individuals supporting the objectives of the Association

3.2 Registration

All members must:

Complete a registration form

Pay the approved registration fee

Agree to abide by this Constitution

3.3 Rights of Members

To attend meetings

To vote and be voted for (financial members only)

To participate in Association activities

3.4 Duties of Members

Respect the Constitution

Pay dues as at when due

Promote unity and discipline

Protect the image of the Association

ARTICLE 4: ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

The Association shall have the following Executive Officers:

Chairman 

Vice Chairman 

General Secretary

Assistant Secretary

Treasurer

Financial Secretary

Welfare Officer

Technical Director

Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Provost/Disciplinary Officer

Additional committees may include:

Technical Committee

Disciplinary Committee

Organizing Committee


ARTICLE 5: FUNCTIONS OF OFFICERS

Chairman 

Heads the Association

Presides over meetings

Represents the Association officially

Vice Chairman 

Assists the President

Acts in absence of the President

General Secretary

Keeps records and minutes

Handles correspondence

Treasurer

Manages funds

Keeps proper financial records


ARTICLE 6: MEETINGS

General Meeting shall be held monthly.

Executive Meeting shall be held as necessary.

Emergency meetings may be called by the Chairman or 2/3 of executives.

Quorum shall be 50% of financial members.


ARTICLE 7: FINANCE

Sources of funds shall include:

Registration fees

Monthly dues

Donations and sponsorship

Competition levies

All funds must be deposited into the Association’s bank account.

Withdrawal must be approved by the

 President and Treasurer.


ARTICLE 8: DISCIPLINE

Any member who:

Engages in misconduct

Brings the Association into disrepute

Violates the Constitution

Shall face disciplinary action including:

Warning

Suspension

Expulsion


ARTICLE 9: ELECTIONS

Elections shall be held every two (2) years.

Voting shall be by secret ballot.

Only financial members are eligible to vote or contest.


ARTICLE 10: AMENDMENT

This Constitution may be amended by a two-third (2/3) majority vote of financial members at a General Meeting.


ARTICLE 11: DISSOLUTION

The Association may be dissolved by a two-third (2/3) majority vote.

Any remaining assets shall be donated to a community sports development body.
